9am - 2pm (Doors open at 8:30) Connect Point Church, Hilo Registration has been extended for this free, interactive workshop presented by Jason Weber, the National Director of More Than Enough at the Christian Alliance for Orphans, in partnership with Harvest Family Life Hawaii. This event is designed to bridge the gaps between churches, organizations, agencies, and community leaders who care about children and families involved in foster care. Join us in raising money for our fund, Hale Ka Po’e Keiki (Homes for Children) to help us end family homelessness on Hawai’i Island, by participating in our Virtual (walk the miles, not the actual route) Pilgrimage With the Unhoused 2024. This year, our route takes us past several ancient Hawaiian sites from Pu’uhonua ‘o Honaunau (Place of Refuge) in Kona, to the birthplace of King Kamehameha I in Kohala, a total of 77.2 miles. The timeline for completing the virtual pilgrimage is from February 28 to April 8, 2024. What to do to participate?
