Virtual Pilgrimage Spring 2023

Interfaith Communities in Action announces the Spring 2023 Virtual Pilgrimage, a walking or cycling fundraiser for Hale Na Po'e Keiki, ICIA's signature fund to end family homelessness on Hawai'i Island. During the month of March and into April, ICIA encourages members and friends of its communities to walk roughly forty miles between its southernmost congregations in Pahoa and its northernmost congregations in Honomu - but to do the walking at their own pace and in places that are safer than highways without sidewalks!

The event kicks off on March 1 and continues through April 9. Participants can follow any route and use home exercise equipment as well. Click here for a pledge form.

Our Seven Goals

1. Communicate with one another about the needs of those who are hurting in our community  and opportunities to respond to those needs;
2. Educate our own faith communities about these needs;
3. Network with organizations and agencies which are serving the hurting persons in our community;
4. Offer opportunities for direct involvement in efforts/projects which are attempting to help people in need through volunteer ministries or financial contributions;
5. Become a catalyst for new projects to address community needs;
6. Sponsor fundraising efforts for specific purposes aimed at addressing the needs we encounter;
7. Promote religious tolerance, understanding, and appreciation.

Who We Are
