Provide Intermediate Term Housing
Permanent housing is our greatest need and greatest challenge. In the meantime, the faith community is currently focused on providing intermediate term housing.
Offer Housing, Temporary or Permanent: List your housing at http://kokua.alohaliving.com/offer-housing/
If you have an extra room in your home, a small cottage, a rental property, or vacation rental that you would like to offer for free, at a discounted rate, or even at full price please list it at http://kokua.alohaliving.com/offer-housing/. You can specify how long you are willing to offer the housing at a discount. This website was set up by real estate professionals to facilitate finding and offering housing for people displaced by the eruption. The website has recently been updated to also be a source of information for potential rentals
Fund a micro-shelter and/or become a micro-shelter host site: Contact Pastor Dion
You can follow news of the micro-Shelter site by Sacred Heart Church Pahoa on HOPE Service's blog.

Join the Hale Iki Care Teams: Contact info@interfaithhawaii.org
The Hale Iki micro-shelter is seeking faith communities that will "adopt" the micro-shelter, one week at a time. "Adption" will likely consist of providing a warm dinner, an evening presence, and breakfast and lunch supplies for residents of the micro-shelter.
